Introduction
The ITS overhead conveyor system is ideally suited to production line applications involving the manufacture or assembly of products and components. Using power and free technology, parts can be automatically transported and delivered to each process, reducing the need for manual lifting and handling.
The ITS overhead conveyor system brings other benefits too. Unlike conventional flatbed conveyors, the ITS overhead conveyor system can relinquish valuable floor space when required. This means more flexibility in how you choose to use a workspace, and ultimately better workspace utilization.
Production Line Assembly

The ITS Twin Track system is particularly suited to production line applications involving the manufacture or assembly of large and/or heavy (up to 500kg) products and components.
Using the ITS overhead conveyor system, it is possible to work on an assembly while it is still on the overhead conveyor. Jigs designed specifically for the component being assembled can be fitted to the load carrying trolley, allowing the user to rotate and manipulate the assembly for quick and easy access.

Stock Replenishment

The ITS overhead conveyor system can also be used to aid the replenishment of materials and components to the production line. Materials and components can be picked from bulk storage areas and automatically delivered to the forward pick faces located on the assembly line. Materials and components ready to be used in the assembly process are simply picked from the load carrying trolley. Double handling is elimated, and there is no longer a need for flow racking or shelving on the production line.
